This antique French medallion features a portrait of the Virgin Mary along with a dedication to “Edith”. The engraving reads “Edith [cross] 2 Avril 1922”, dating this to April 2nd, 1922.

Below the Virgin Mary, where she is framed in a stained glass-like church window in an open-work design, is the signature of the engraver of the Virgin Mary’s portrait; however, over time the name has become illegible.

This was likely gifted as a communion medal to a young woman in France in the 1920s.

Materials: 18k yellow gold.

Hallmarks: None visible.

Total weight: Approx. 3.35g.

Condition: Great antique condition with general wear. Please view photos for proper condition report and feel free to ask any questions prior to purchase.
