This antique sweetheart of a brooch features the year 1907 encrusted in rose-cut diamonds. Four pearls frame the year on a beautiful heart-shaped frame. This pin was likely originally commissioned to celebrate an anniversary, or possibly to celebrate the New Year, and is made with 14k gold and diamonds set in silver.

Some interesting events that happened in the year 1907:

- The first large procession of the Women’s Suffrage Societies takes place in London. It was called the “Mud March”.

- President Roosevelt proclaims that Oklahoma has become the 46th state of America.

- The first ever “ball drop” occurs in Times Square, NYC.

- Frida Kahlo and John Wayne are born.

Materials: Top of brooch is set in silver and back of brooch in 14k gold (as was common in this era). Rose-cut diamonds and pearls.
