This incredible, antique OOAK masquerade ring features 26 diamonds amongst a thick filigree frame. Set center is an enchanting masked woman wearing a rose flower crown and long eloquent earrings as her eyes are eternally glowing like bright stars in the night sky, as if hinting to the exciting and daring escapades she witnessed at the ball.
Masquerade rings were often commissioned to be worn as tokens of a wistful night at a masquerade ball that one would have attended. Masquerade balls were all the rage in the 18th century and were the most enchanting of evenings where the attendees wore masks and costumes. These rings are extremely difficult to find, and this early-1800s example is unlike any other masquerade ring we’ve ever seen in such an extraordinarily unique style; very heavy and OOAK.

Condition: The largest two diamonds are not rose-cut and appear to be replacements. All others are rose-cut and vary in condition and clarity. While some diamonds appear occluded, they dazzle and sparkle tremendously in the light. The diamond eyes are recent replacements saved from another antiquity.
